Carbon dioxyde (CO2) is partially responsible for what is known as the Greenhouse Effect: the root of the cause of climate change. Every company, no matter the size or activity, has a carbon footprint. However, it is now possible to compensate by storing carbon at a local level. Carbon Forest offers to assist you in this project.
Everything begins with a carbon estimation*. Through trustworthy partners, we can guide you in the computation of your yearly CO2 emissions. It is calculated through the different product cycles or services consumed and through different criterias: petrol consumption, weight of different materials (metal, glass, paper, plastic…), distance, parking in m², IT material…
Once computed, you can assess your needs.
You choose the forest and the duration for which your wish to store the carbon through premium selected parcels.
Finally, we will validate the project and the necessary quantity of carbon needed for your consumption.
*It must be done every 3 years for companies with more than 500 employees, public service departments with more than 250 employees and districts with more than 50,000 inhabitants.

The strength of the concept is based in the management. By preventing the clean-cutting of forest parcels, it is possible to anticipate their stages of carbon absorption and liberation. A guarantee for the land owners and contractors.
In addition, the price gives a real garantee to the quality of a perfectly traceable and stable product that has no risk of being accounted for twice:
1 ton of carbon stored/hectar of forest/year: €50 HT

A CONCRETE EXAMPLE
The ACO has therefore decided to pay for the additional conservation of 1,000 tons of carbon in the soil of 1,000 acres for 3 years. It compensates for the emissions that the race emits.
